Privacy policy
Local data stays local.
Effective: September 7, 2026
Data processed
When you click Capture, TabSafe Verify processes the current Chrome window's tab URLs, titles, order, pinned state, and tab-group metadata solely to create a snapshot. It excludes other Chrome windows and incognito windows.
Storage and exports
The extension retains up to 10 snapshots in Chrome extension-local storage. JSON and HTML files are written only when you click an export button and remain under your control.
Data not collected
TabSafe Verify does not read page content, credentials, form values, browser history, analytics, identifiers, or personal profiles. It has no account, server, advertising, telemetry, AI, or host permissions, and it transmits no tab data.
Restore
Imported snapshots are checked for structure, counts, URL safety, and SHA-256 integrity. Restore requires a confirmation and skips browser-internal or otherwise unsupported URLs.
Removal
Removing the extension removes its extension-local storage. Exported files remain wherever you saved them until you delete them.
Private beta feedback
Feedback is manual and optional. Do not send real URLs, tab titles, company information, names, emails, or screenshots containing private data. The beta package uses anonymous tester codes such as U001.
Support
Use the privacy-safe GitHub issue templates. Never include real URLs, tab titles, identity, company data, or sensitive screenshots.
